Botanical Gardens Flora, Cologne

Both a municipal park and a botanical garden, Botanical Gardens Flora, designed by renowned Prussian gardener Peter Joseph Lenné in 1864, contains more than 10,000 different plant species. Close to the left Rhine banks in the city's north, this 11.5 hectare (28 acre) garden includes The Flora, which occupies the southern part of the park and features a waterfall and a flower garden with a central fountain.
