You'll find Rathaus-Glockenspiel, a century-old glockenspiel and its animated wooden characters, mounted on the Neus Rathaus building. Watch it chime and re-enact stories from the 16th century, a lovely experience that lasts about 15 minutes. Admire the mechanism's intricate construction, consisting of 43 bells and 32 life-size characters. Make sure to stay until the golden rooster chirps, marking the end of the show. • Was there to visit the churches at Marienplatz, and was drawn to this awesome beauty of a thing in Rathaus-Glockenspiel. Looks a little gothic in my opinion, and may pale in some ways to Duomo in...

  • I was thinking it is a church but it turns out that it is a city hall. When you come to Marienplatz, this structure will meet you. You should definitely go to the top of the city hall. You will see charming view.
  • Going up in the bell tower was super easy. We purchased the tickets online using the QR code and went up in the elevator with no wait time. At the top we were alone. We did this just before 7pm. The views are hands down worth the price of admission.
