Restaurant und Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm
One of the finest restaurants in Munich, Restaurant und Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm was a gift to the city from Elector Karl Theodor in the 18th century. The Chinese Tower, inspired by Buddhist temples, makes a paradoxical backdrop to the restaurant's more casual beer garden. The beer garden's tables sprawl out under the tower beneath the trees. Hofbraeuhaus is accompanied by sausages, bratwursts, sauerkraut, and beans. You can make reservations at the fine-dining restaurant inside the building, but at the beer garden, just plop down and order up the local brew. The most famous building in the huge English Garden is this tower. It was opened to the public as a viewing platform in 1792. This pagoda building with its imperial Chinese style is 25 meters high...

We walked the park and then found a Christmas market here on Christmas Day. It was awesome, a lot of places to sit and the food was good. Definitely recommend for families. Follow me at hola.es.paola on instagram for more reviews!

Big, noisy, lots of people and traditional brass Bavarian music live when it is holiday, but this is exactly what you look for going to the biergarten, ja? ;-) Food is simple but solid, and if you are looking for a salad there are two options only really: potato one or mortadella one. Shortly: this is no place for hungry vegan. But again: this is Bavarian biergarten, so... However if you are looking for a solid mug (1L) of HB beer and baked pig knuckle to accompany it: this is the place. The knuckle only if you have teeth for it, as it is tasty but the crunchy skin requires some work on it. Fortunately you can go for the chicken instead. Despite self service, aforementioned lots of people and noise it was surprisingly relaxing for me to eat and drink there, even being on my own.
