  • The museum staff was friendly but most of them hardly speak english language. Also at the ticket office the young man gave us the strange look when we wished to buy only tickets for the War is over...

  • Not the best museum for tourists: -Some signs weren’t translated in English -The signs that were in English were very hard to read, the sentences didn’t get to the main point and very boringly formulated. So for me and my friend it was mostly looking at pretty things instead of learning something. We went on a national holiday so the entry tickets were free which was nice!
  • We spend just over 3 hours here, enough to see a nice part of the general exhibition and the Roman part downstairs. It's a fun interesting museum with nice staff, decent opening hours, affordable entrance price (though at 2900 HUF a bit more then the train and military museums I've been to before in Budapest which were 2000), and the bilingual information everywhere is quite well done. We liked it.
