After reading the series "The Mongoliad" of Greg Bear and Neal Stephenson, I became interested in visiting the battle fields were the fiercest battles in defence of christian Europe were fought by warriors monks against the mongol hordes. Whilst in Budapest, I could easily reach Muhi. So I have chosen that impressive memorial near the Sajó river to pray and to bow to the courage and the sacrifice of those middle age heroes even though in that battle they were tragically defeated.
