Create an itinerary including Natural Arch
Towering 18 m (59 ft) above the ground stands Natural Arch. As the name suggests, a collapsed limestone grotto along the coastline of Capri has formed this shape, which provides a natural window into the deep turquoise lagoon below. The arch, spanning 12 m (39 ft) wide, is believed to have been from the Paleolithic age. You can take a short hike from the nearby town that winds through narrow streets and past villas and colorful gardens to the arch. Wear proper walking shoes, and be prepared to climb many steps. • A bit of a walk to get to the views but not difficult at all. There is a small bar / restaurant near the Arch to get a quick snack or libation. Definitely one of the things to do on Capri.

  • What a beautiful place. We got the ferry across to capri and wondered around the shops had lunch and thought what else can we do…. Then we found this walk and it’s stunning. Not to long and not to...

  • Such a quiet and magnificent place. We met like 5 people during our trip to the Arco Naturale. Wonderful view of the sea, surrounded by nature and the incessant sound of cicadas. Ideal for a romantic time with your loved one. P.S. There is a grotto down under the arch, but we were short of time, so we didn't visit.
  • Definitely worth a visit. There is a reasonably well marked path from the centre of Capri to the Arco Naturale Belvedere Tragara and then you can also choose to walk onwards to the Belvedere Tragara before heading back to town. The whole walk (we did it the other way around) took us around 1.5h with a lunch break. It involves quite a few steps between the Arco and the cliffs and good footwear is advised.
