The heart of a picturesque fishing village, Centro Historico de Albufeira basks in a traditional atmosphere accentuated with whitewashed walls and cobbled streets. Wander through narrow alleys lined with craft shops and street vendors selling souvenirs, then take a seat and people-watch at one of the bars or restaurants surrounding the quaint central square. Taste some of the local cuisine or sip a drink while cheering on the local soccer team. In the evening, live music fills the streets, and many clubs open stands with male and female dancers in the doorways. • Such a shame but the old town is just full of bars, restaurants and tourist tat. The Archaeology Museum was small but a nice visit. Other than that I don't recommend a visit.

  • We walked through here a few times whilst on holiday in Albefeuira. It’s a nice big clean open space with the beautiful beach nearby and lots of shops. It’s a nice part of Albefeuira

  • Fun and lively place; lots of restaurants, bars, gift shops, and live music. Plenty of spots for ice cream lovers. This area gets really busy in the summer evenings. But still exciting to explore. They have live music in some restaurants. There was live music on a stage by the beach. There is a spot where you can get a taxi. Tonight the line for that was extremely long. I also noticed plenty of places to do hookah. Highly recommend coming here during your stay.
  • Decent old town with good shops and a few local gems for food but this whole area of Albufeira has been ruined by British people either moving here or coming over in large crowds. Place is full of run down pubs/bars and places selling bland food. Portuguese government need to have a clear out of everyone here that isn't Portuguese. Nothing Portuguese or cultural about this sadly - not sure what the attraction is going from the home country to another location abroad which is just like home 😐
