    The castle itself is very small but beautiful nonetheless. The views from the top of the castle are absolutely beautiful. The castle gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The day we visited, we were hurried along as the lady wanted to close for the day even though the hours on the door say that it opens until 6PM. The entry fee is quite small so defined worth a visit if you are in the area.

    Chaves in general is a beautiful place. It's a mixture of modern and old world and has a little bit of everything for everyone. The castle isn't awe inspiring but the gardens are beautiful and the views magnificent. The castle itself houses military memorabilia from different eras. It only costs €1 to have a look around.
