One of the oldest buildings in the city, the Gothic Cathedral of Evora (Se Catedral de Evora) forms part of a complex of historical buildings that are on the World Heritage List. This building, the largest medieval cathedral in the country, features two eye-catching towers, each with a different conical spire. The building's cloisters, completed in the 14th century, include marble statues of the four evangelists and a polychrome statue of the Virgin Mary. Take the cloisters' spiral staircase to reach the upper story, which offers unobstructed views of the cathedral complex and the surrounding landscape. After you see the view from the top, descend to the cathedral museum, noted for displaying a 17th century reliquary encrusted with 840 diamonds and 402 rubies. • This is another huge Portuguese cathedral that is not to be missed. It's kind of a mix of Romanesque and Gothic but the interior brick work is very interesting.

  • The price is 3.50euro for the tower and the cathedral (there’s no student ticket and only cash). The view is really nice on the roof but you need to climb some very steep stairs. I will recommend to visit this place and enjoy the view. Also inside the cathedral is also beautiful.
  • Pay to see all of the sights and exhibits. In the afternoon, it’s a peaceful, lovely place to explore. Beggars will harass you at the entrance, but it is safe once you get inside.
