Create an itinerary including Quinta de la Rosa Winery
Quinta de la Rosa, situated 1 km from the village of Pinhão, is a working vineyard and winery and offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Quinta, wander into the village or visit further afield by car or train.

Guests have been staying at the Quinta for over twenty years and in 2012 a substantial redevelopment took place of the Winery and Accommodation. Guests can now choose between staying in the original Quinta house, soaking up the atmosphere and eccentricity of the house’s 100 year history or in the Quinta’s specifically designed vineyard accommodation. All 14 rooms have views of the Douro and guests have the use of the swimming pool.

In addition there are two villas, Lamelas (sleeps 6) and Amarela (sleeps 10 and is close to La Rosa) which offer alternative accommodation for larger parties or weekly rentals.

For those unable to stay, we provide lunches and dinners with a tour and tasting by prior arrangement.

  • Went on a wine tasting and tour. Was about 1 hour in duration. Very informative guide with an impressive tasting area. Would recommend this to travellers to Pinhao.

  • We had a great time in the wine tasting tour. We were lucky to book it on the same day and it was in English. The property is located a bit up the hill, amazing view from the wine tasting room. The guide was very knowledgeable, great explanations on the winemaking process of different types of wine and especially different types of ports. We visited the cellar, the production site and the vineyard too. We tasted their own productions (white, red, ports) and bought some bottles home at the end. It was a wonderful experience.
  • We ate at their restaurant and it was phenomenal. To start the ambiance, the music and the waiters /waitresses were lovely. I got their house brewed lager which was super tasty and their red wine was very good as well. Then the food was amazing we tried the cod and iberico pork which was the best part. The cherry on top was the truffle mashed potatoes which was probably the best mashed potatoes I’ve had in my life. Highly recommend the restaurant as a stop on your way through the Douro valley.
