Create an itinerary including Ribeira do Porto
Walk down the boardwalk at Ribeira do Porto, a popular historic district packed with cultural offerings. This area is home to Ribeira Wharf and Riveira Square--one of the city's oldest squares, built in 1389. The narrow side streets are lined with colorful homes, lively bars, traditional restaurants, and small shops. Meander along the pier for views of the Duoro River and bridges. You can also take a river tour by boat. • Ribeira district is the riverfront of old town Porto which is right behind it in a maze of old narrow winding streets. Ribeira is very popular with both, locals and tourists with many bars...

  • It's very nice. There's music performers everywhere but If you're expecting even a half decent pub crawl for a Stag or Hen weekend it's not for you. In fact the whole city is the same. Hundreds of restaurants that might sell you a beer, beautiful scenery at the riverside and high up above the river superb views but virtually nothing that I would call bars. Romantic weekend with a loved one great, boozy weekend a no no.
  • Amazing place, but all bars are a tourist trap! Be careful, check the prices before ordering anything! TOURIST TRAP! You can easily get 5 times less expensive things in the center.
