Climb to the top of Torre dos Clerigos, an iconic symbol of the city. This tower behind the Clérigos Church was built in the mid-18th century. Its design contains aspects of Roman Baroque architecture, though it is modeled after Tuscan-style bell towers. While this structure can be seen from various places in the city--making it one of the most recognized sites of Porto and a compass for lost travelers--you can't fully experience the tower until you ascend the 240 steps to its peak. Great views - 225 steps up a very narrow staircase. Did it first week of January and little to no crowds. Get your stamp that you completed the climb on the back of the guide when you are done!

A cool tower with a magnificent church and nice museum inside. Climbing up to the tower you can see the city with a 360 degree view. However, the information board is incorrect in stating that Taipei 101 is in China. It is In Taipei, Taiwan. 🇹🇼

Beautiful museum and the view from top of the tower is incredible. There is a ticket of 6 euro per person. The museum has some really interesting articles related to brotherhood of clergy. There are a lot of stairs to climb for the top of tower.
