Escape Room, Bratislava

We went on our teambuilding here. We chose Nikola Tesla which was pretty hard but amazing experience, after that we took Ghost stories of Socialism which I definitely recommend. Atmosphere was terrific and scary. We started at aproximately 10pm so this also make tension more intense. Solving puzzle under great pressure was really hard but unforgettable experience, we are definitely coming back some day. Thank you very much!

We're experienced escape room players and we did two rooms at Questum. "Secret of Nikola Tesla" offered a good atmosphere and mostly straightforward puzzles. The effects were quite nice, although not as phenomenal as we hoped for. The second room, "Curse of the Mayan", was really disappointing. The puzzles were not as good and even confusing at times. Usually, the game master follows the participants and gives hints when they are stuck or when the clock is running low. Here on the other hand we had to explicitly ask for hints. This is a really bad choice, as we as players do not know how many puzzles (or time) are left, so we were hesitant to ask for hints and wasted a lot of time, leading to not finishing the second room. Additionally, the German manual is missing an important page (which we were able to find in the English translation later). Finally, some equipment got jammed, leading to some more wasted minutes. All those points led to one of the worst and most frustrating escape room experiences so far. In summary, the rooms themselves score between "okay" and "good". However, as already mentioned, the game master did a really bad job. He appeared competent, but otherwise very uninterested in us. Together with the high price compared to other escape rooms in Bratislava and Vienna, this led to a mediocre experience.
