Castle was not open at the time of our visit. Still enjoyed a lunch on the bench outside the castle which is located on top of a small hill. Nice drive in the country side along vineyards and rolling.... more

Fantastic place, worth a visit! We enjoyed our afternoon there very much. Wine cellar is beautiful and their prices are symbolic.

A beautiful 17th century residence (not really a castle) that is free to enter and wander about the interior courtyard. There are guided tours of the building itself (only in Slovenian), but there is no set schedule. The interior is gorgeous, which is why it is so popular for weddings and other ceremonies, thus the hours are not that great for viewing (10-12 on Saturdays). There might be a door open which will allow you to walk about inside the residence. The furniture is retro cca 1950-1960's. For how beautiful the inside courtyard is, the outside fasade could use some renovations.
