The most visited church in Sweden, Lund Cathedral represents an excellent example of Romanesque architecture with many historical features. The cathedral was founded in 1080 in Lund, a significant religious and cultural city during the Middle Ages. Today over 700,000 people visit the church each year, for both worship and general tours. Enter the building to view several interesting features in its interior, including the cathedral's choir stalls and Gothic altarpiece dating back to the 14th century. Look for the centuries-old tower bells; one was created in 1513. • It was really beautiful and interesting. I was extremely happy that I was at the right time and place so I was just in time to see clock swiching and playing music. I learned new things and stories...

  • My dad and I went to visit this historic cathedral in Lund, Sweden on last Wednesday (18th July 2018) while going on a holiday in Denmark. It's a beautifully cathedral. I'd say it's one of the most popular attractions in Sweden! We're the visitors from Dublin, Ireland!
  • It was a great experience to see one of the oldest buildings still in use in Sweden and is home to several historic furnishings and works of art! It is in the centre of the city, close to many restaurants and cafés. There is no entrance fee to enter the Cathedral, but you could buy brochures or guided tours! Don't miss the astronomical clock that dates from around 1425. It displays signs of the zodiac and the phases of the moon!
