Create an itinerary including Fjarilshuset (Butterfly House)
Enter Stockholm's tropical oasis and admire some of nature's most radiant colors at Fjarilshuset (Butterfly House). Located inside Haga Park, the lush indoor heaven of exotic greenery, bright flowers, and warm streams is home to more than 700 different species of butterflies flying freely. The temperature inside the habitat is regulated throughout the year and allows its delicate residents to flourish even in Sweden's cold climate. Even though it's located outside Stockholm city-center, the park is easily reached by car or public transportation. Humidity inside the habitat is kept at high levels, which benefits the butterflies, but might be unpleasant for sensitive visitors. • The Butterfly House is incredibly expensive for such a small attraction. There was a couple of greenhouses for the butterflies and one area for the aquarium, so it takes less than an hour to visit...

  • A great place for adults and children, lots of interesting insects, small frogs and many with very strange names. Also a tropical area with butterflies and a hatching frame adding to the interest in watching the butterflies emerge from their chrysalis or pupa. The buildings look to be well-tended and maintained and I was especially pleased to see the clarity of the water in the fish tanks. My favourite were the jellyfish, small and almost invisible! Worth the entry fee and you can stay as long as you like. They have a small restaurant on site.
  • A great place for children and the whole family. A lot of different plants, butterflies, snakes and fish, sharks, it's just very warm and wet. A beautiful park nearby for walking and relaxing
