On the scenic peninsula Blasieholme sits Nationalmuseum, which was built in the mid-19th century in the North Italian Renaissance style. You can admire the exterior, but the building is closed for renovation until 2017. The national gallery holds the country's premier collection of art and design, including works from the Middle Ages up to the 20th century. Most prominently, the collection boasts significant pieces from Rembrandt and other Dutch painters. To see some of its treasures, visit the temporary exhibit space at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. • This not the most famous museum of the world, however there is an interesting collection of old masters such as Rembrandt, Gentileschi . Few paintings from the swedish painter Carl Larsson. Free...

  • Very interesting museum in the heart of Stockholm which is free of a entry fee for the main exhibitions (which is about 95% of the museum I‘d say). The museum shows a great variety of art from Rembrandt pictures to innovative electric mobility designs. I highly recommend at least spending some time here since it is free and has a lot to offer!
  • A must go if you come to Stockholm. The museum located in the heart of Stockholm near the royal palace. The entrance is for free unless you wants to view temporary exhibitions. A recommendation is to view the art following the timeline from 15 century all the way to today. You can easily spend 2, 3 days there. No matter you are a art lover or not you can learn something or simply enjoying the calming ambiance.
