You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Budapest is known for historic sites, sightseeing, and spas. Dublin, Ireland to Budapest is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Dublin to Budapest. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Dublin in May: high temperatures in Budapest hover around 25°C and lows are around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Visegrad.

Esztergom — 3 nights

Esztergom, is a city in northern Hungary, 46km northwest of the capital Budapest. Get out of town with these interesting Esztergom side-trips: Julianus Kilato (in Nagymaros), Tata (Agostyan Arboretum, Borvar Tata, &more) and Zebegeny (National Flag and Heroes' Monument of Zebegeny & Our Lady of the Snows Church). It doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral and examine the collection at Tatabanya Museum.

Traveling by car from Visegrad to Esztergom takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In June in Esztergom, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 16°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) early enough to go by car back home.
