12 days in Seoul, Busan & Jeju Itinerary

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam to Seoul is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Bandar Seri Begawan to Seoul. Traveling from Bandar Seri Begawan in February, things will get cooler in Seoul: highs are around 5°C and lows about -4°C. On the 19th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.

Start off your visit on the 19th (Sun): hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market and then walk around Yongdusan Park. On the 20th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggungsa, walk around Taehwa River Seepri Bamboo Grove, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Seoknamsa Temple, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Taehwagang National Garden.

Getting from Seoul to Busan by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a train; or drive. In February, Busan is a bit warmer than Seoul - with highs of 10°C and lows of 0°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) to allow time to fly to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.

You'll discover tucked-away gems like Jeolmul Natural Forest Resort and Haenyeo Museum. Explore Jeju's surroundings by going to Seogwipo (Halla Mountain, Seongsan Ilchulbong, &more). Next up on the itinerary: stroll around Jeju Stone Park, take in the exciting artwork at The Islander, step off the mainland to explore Udo, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Udo Island Lighthouse Park.

Traveling by flight from Busan to Jeju takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry. On the 25th (Sat), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Seoul.

Start off your visit on the 25th (Sat): contemplate the long history of Manhae Han Young Un Simujang, explore the galleries of Seodaemun Prison History Hall, and then contemplate the long history of Sungnyemun Gate.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Seoul takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sat) so you can catch the flight back home.
