Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Get some historical perspective at Old Town Centre of Radovljica and Cankarjevo Nabrežje. Get in touch with nature at Nature & Wildlife Tours and Parasailing & Paragliding. Venture out of the city with trips to Velika Planina (in Stahovica), Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum (in Idrija) and St. Volbenk's Church (in Škofja Loka). Piran — 2 nights

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Sat): admire the local landmark of Da Ponte Fountain, explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, step into the grandiose world of Socerb Castle, then identify plant and animal life at Škocjanski Zatok Nature Reserve, and finally take in the waterfront at Port Piran. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 18th (Sun): see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, then take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, then pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Francis of Assisi, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Piran Minorite Monastery.
