Located on the largest island in the Baltic Sea, the historical port town of Visby features one of the best-preserved medieval city walls in northern Europe.
On the 7th (Sun), stop by Gotlands delikatesser, admire the natural beauty at Botaniska Tradgarden, then steep yourself in history at Visby City Wall, and finally examine the collection at Gotlands Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: enjoy the sand and surf at Tofta strand, then identify plant and animal life at Folhammar, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Mary's Cathedral.
