Budapest — 15 nights

Pearl of the Danube
You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.Fisherman's Bastion and Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral will appeal to history buffs. For shopping fun, head to Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galeria) or Koller Gallery. Venture out of the city with trips to Fenyes Education Trail of Tata (in Tata), Szekesfehervar - Our Lady - John of Nepomuk Parish Church (in Szekesfehervar) and Cuha Valley (in Bakonyszentlaszlo). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum, learn about winemaking at Faust Wine Cellar, step off the mainland to explore Margaret Island, and contemplate the long history of Matthias Church.
