Byron Bay — 16 nights

Named after Lord Byron's grandfather, Byron Bay is not only famous as the easternmost point of Australia, but even more so as one of the liveliest vacation spots in the country.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Byron Bay: Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre (in Murwillumbah), Fingal Head Lighthouse (in Fingal Head) and Tropical Fruit World (in Duranbah). Spend the 6th (Sun) exploring nature at Arakwal National Park. There's much more to do: enjoy the sea views from Cape Byron Lighthouse, paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour, and indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas.

For ratings, maps, more things to do, and tourist information, go to the Byron Bay tour itinerary website.

In January in Byron Bay, expect temperatures between 34°C during the day and 21°C at night.
