Budapest — 2 nights

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Take a break from the city and head to Kayaking & Canoeing and Priest's Island (Pap-sziget). Explore hidden gems such as Wine Tours & Tastings and Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar). There's still lots to do: take in the views from Liberty Bridge (Szabadsag hid), wander the streets of Andrassy Avenue, and get a taste of the local shopping with Vaci Street.

To see more things to do, where to stay, reviews, and other tourist information, use the Budapest trip itinerary maker website.

If you are flying in from Austria, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 33°C, and evening lows to 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
