Barcelona, Spain to Portorož is an approximately 8-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and shuttle. Traveling from Barcelona in April, plan for a bit cooler nights in Portorož, with lows around 9°C. On the 28th (Fri), you're off to Ljubljana.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Your inner history buff will appreciate Ljubljana Castle and Bled Castle. Change things up with these side-trips from Ljubljana: Bled Island (in Bled) and Postojna (Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle). There's still lots to do: stop by Ljubljana Old Town, take in the views from Triple Bridge, test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of St. Nicholas.

Traveling by car from Portorož to Ljubljana takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Portorož in April, Ljubljana is slightly colder at night with lows of 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
