Do your shopping at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Shinsegae Dept. Store Main. Pack the 6th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, wander the streets of Insadong, take in nature's colorful creations at Namsan Park, and get great views at N Seoul Tower.

Cheongju is the capital and largest city of North Chungcheong Province in South Korea.HistoryCheongju has been an important provincial town since ancient times.During Hideyoshi's Invasions of Korea, Cheongju was the site of the Battle of Chongju, during which the Korean forces re-took the city from the Japanese forces in an important early victory.The government of the province relocated here from Chungju in 1908.The opening of the Chungbuk-line in 1926 sparked regional development. Venture out of the city with trips to Boeun-gun (Samnyeon Sanseong Fortress & Beopjusa Temple). Next up on the itinerary: go for a walk through Sangdangsanseong Fortress, have fun and explore at Cheongju National Museum, steep yourself in history at Cheongnamdae, and look for all kinds of wild species at Dugguhbi Saengtae Munhwagwan.

A sprawling metropolis and center for research, Daejeon stands as the fifth largest city in South Korea.
Venture out of the city with trips to Jeonju Hanok Village (in Jeonju), Buyeo National Museum (in Buyeo-gun) and Gongju (Gapsa temple & Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress). Museum Without Walls

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Shop till you drop at Seomun Market and Hyundai Department Store Daegu. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Gyeongju: Juwangsan National Park (in Cheongsong-gun) and Sanghwa Yi's Old House (in Daegu). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple, find something for the whole family at Gyeongju World, explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum.

Getting from Daejeon to Gyeongju by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Daejeon in April, plan for slightly colder days and a bit warmer nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from 14°C by day to 14°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Busan.
