Budapest — 4 nights

Pearl of the Danube
You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.Appreciate the collections at Budapest Pinball Museum and House of Terror Museum. Popular historic sites such as Fisherman's Bastion and St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika) are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Budapest: Beach (in Tiszakecske) and Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral (in Esztergom). Next up on the itinerary: head off the coast to Margaret Island, pick up some local products at Central Market Hall, take in the exciting artwork at Balazs Folk Art Gallery, and wander the streets of Vaci Street.
To find ratings, photos, other places to visit, and other tourist information, go to the Budapest online holiday builder.
Expect a daytime high around 25°C in September, and nighttime lows around 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
