Budapest — 4 nights

Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Archaeological Park and Police Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church. Venture out of the city with trips to Beach (in Tiszakecske), Nadasdy - Kastely (in Nadasdladany) and Wesselenyi Beach Balatonalmadi (in Balatonalmadi). And it doesn't end there: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), see the interesting displays at Aeropark Budapest, steep yourself in history at Dohány Street Synagogue, and pause for some photo ops at Shoes on the Danube Bank.
