Lismore — 3 nights

Lismore is a city in northeastern New South Wales, Australia and the main population centre in the City of Lismore local government area; it is also a regional centre in the Northern Rivers region of the State. Change things up with these side-trips from Lismore: Ballina Naval & Maritime Museum (in Ballina), Lennox Head Beach (in Lennox Head) and Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens (in Mullumbimby). Next up on the itinerary: identify plant and animal life at Friends of the Koala, pick up a one of a kind souvenir at Books and Stuff, and admire the engineering at Rocky Creek Dam.

Dubbo — 2 nights

Visit the city of Dubbo, the most populous urban area in the Orana Region, for an exciting and thriving multicultural city from which to explore the surrounding Great Western Plains.
Step out of Dubbo to go to Wellington and see Wellington Caves & Phosphate Mine, which is approximately 38 minutes away. There's lots more to do: get to know the resident critters at Taronga Western Plains Zoo, steep yourself in history at Old Dubbo Gaol, make a trip to Alladins Cave Bottle House, and take in nature's colorful creations at Shoyoen Japanese Garden.
