The Fervent City

Although decidedly industrial on the outskirts, Liege also boasts impressive architecture.
Citadelle (Citadel) and Fort Eben-Emael will appeal to history buffs. Get outdoors at Forestia and Domaine de Palogne. Get out of town with these interesting Liege side-trips: D'Amici (in Maasmechelen), Durbuy (Kayaking & Canoeing, Old Town of Durbuy, &more) and Bastogne (Mardasson Memorial, Bastogne War Museum, &more). The adventure continues: contemplate the long history of Abbaye du Val-Dieu, get engrossed in the history at Gallo-Romeins Museum, look for all kinds of wild species at Duinengordel, and make a trip to Montagne de Bueren.

Mumbai, India to Liege is an approximately 13-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. The time zone difference moving from India Standard Time (IST) to Central European Standard Time (CET) is minus 4.5 hours. When traveling from Mumbai in July, plan for a bit cooler days and cooler nights in Liege: temperatures range from 29°C by day to 15°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Thu) so you can go by car to Dinant.
