Zadar County travel guide

Noted for its clean sea and unspoiled nature, Zadar County lies in the middle of Croatia's Adriatic coast. The county's main attractions focus around its hundreds of inhabited and abandoned islets shaded by pines, which parallel the karst barren land. Many visitors discover the concealed beauty of the islands by walking, hiking, or cycling amidst a backdrop of forests, lakes, waterfalls, olive groves and vineyards. With over 3,000 berths in marinas, small ports, and hidden coves, the region is a paradise for nautical tourism. Sailing along the cypress-covered islands dotted with fishing villages and stone lighthouses tops the list of things to do. Town taverns here offer great seafood dishes and premium wines.
