Dedicated to the catastrophic nuclear accident of 1986, Chernobyl National Museum showcases scientific, social, and educational points of view about the event. The accident affected over half a million people and its consequences are still felt in the present day. Spread across three showrooms totaling 1,100 sq m (11,840 sq ft), the museum holds 7,000 items including documents, installations, and visual media. Step inside dioramas for a visually engaging experience. You'll observe the progression of the accident and see its repercussions. You'll also have a chance to view the plant's equipment, photographs, and even artifacts from the disaster site. It's best to arrive here by public transportation, as parking spots are limited. Very informative and interesting in my opinion. Get the audio device in your desired language and just dive right in! As a person that doesn't like museums-I enjoyed this one because I am interested in the topic and the museums is not very big.

One of the most amazing museums i have been. I strongly recommend renting an audio guide. Also there are much more original objects than the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone itself. A bucket list museum for those visiting Kyiv.
