We got there at 15:09 to be met with a locked door and a note saying that the last entry was at 15:00. Your website says that the last entry is at 16:00 Instead of writing notes on the door why not..... more

Ideal place to visit on a rainy afternoon. Loved the introduction by one of the guides, couldn't have been more enthusiastic! Great that most of the cells has something to look at. Good information boards which bought the various aspects of the gaol to life. Amazing ideals that the Victorian officers tried to install on the prisoners. Very worth a visit. Lost a star due to early closing and slightly expensive. Very cold in there as well!

It's OK but for the price of admission it was somewhat disappointing. Some kind of staff presence telling the history or even audio recording would have been good. Although there was written history
