  • The artisan market takes place once a month in Colwyn Bay, on the third Saturday of each month, and spreads down Station Road and into Sea View Road. Whilst I didn't buy anything I was surprised at the number of stalls, all of which looked to selling what I would class as proper "artisan" products. It's certainly a step up from the market that takes place on the other Saturdays and which is mainly made of stalls flogging cheap tat. The most surprising thing for me though was the number of people attending the market. It was a dry, mild and not especially cold day but even so I haven't seen Colwyn Bay so busy and vibrant for many years. It's a shame it only happens once a month, but perhaps it wouldn't get so busy if it happened too often and they know what they're doing by not overdoing it.
