The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art is a charity whose aim is to create enjoyment of visual art through a lively exhibition and education programme.Plan my trip to Conwy with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.
Constituted in 1881, the Royal Cambrian Academy is a centre for artistic excellence in Wales. It has over 100 artist members and aims to exhibit work by members of the Academy, to promote up and coming artists of quality, to mount historical exhibitions and offer a lively venue for education.
The Gallery is located in the centre of Conwy just off the High Street behind Plas Mawr.
Entry to the gallery is FREE but we are grateful for any donations received.

Mae'r Oriel wedi ei lleoli yng nghanol Conwy oddi ar y Stryd Fawr tu ôl i Blas Mawr.
Mae mynediad i'r oriel yn RHAD AC AM DDIM, ond rydym yn ddiolchgar am unrhyw roddion a dderbyniwyd.

Whether you enjoy your visit here will depend on what's on show, but it is a lovely little venue with friendly staff so worth popping in. We ejnoyed the drawings downstairs June 2019.

I'm biased, being a member - but this gallery really is one of Conwy's best kept secrets. If you are interested in contemporary Welsh art, do visit. There's always a lively exhibition in the interesting building (with a stunning view over Conwy's roof-tops from the landing). There's a warm welcome from friendly staff and a nice gift shop.

What a fantastic place, slightly hidden off the main street in Conwy. The gallery space is beautiful, with all works on show available to purchase with a payment plan. There is a small gift shop too and lots of events and classes available. Accessibility is good, with a lift available.
