With its massive dome punctuating the London skyline, St. Paul's Cathedral is one of the city's most distinct sights. Both visually and ceremonially significant, the cathedral has hosted the funerals of Lord Nelson, the Duke of Wellington, Sir Winston Churchill, and Margaret Thatcher, and the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Climb to the top of the dome, pausing in the Whispering Gallery to hear murmurs from 30 m (100 ft) away, before walking up 271 more steps for panoramic views of London from the Golden Gallery. Head down to the crypt to view the tombs of national heroes, such as Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington. Learn about the cathedral's history in Oculus, a 270-degree film exhibit. For more information about the venue's detailed mosaics, paintings, and architecture, take a guided tour or pick up a touchscreen multimedia guide at the entrance. After touring the cathedral, you can enjoy traditional English tea in the Restaurant at St. Paul’s. St. Paul's Cathedral reviews
The sheer size of the church is impressive and the decorations are beautiful, but it seems a bit pricy to visit, given what is there to see.

I have visited the cathedral during covid when was free entrance one day and also the choir was present. Was an amazing experience and I had goose bumps and tears all way long during the choir...

Well worth the price of admission! A must-see on your first trip to London, welcoming to all denominations. St Paul's iconic dome is a London landmark and was London's tallest structure from 1710 to 1963. Designed by Christopher Wren, St Paul's is the most iconic example of English Baroque architecture. I appreciate all of the modern art that has been installed and incorporated into the cathedral, which appeals to a secular audience. the basements include the burials of some important Britons, with galleries and gift shop. If able, I highly recommend climbing its many steps to its 365ft observation deck with 360 degree views of London.
Going to St Paul's Cathedral is an absolutely amazing experience. It remains a very spiritual place and almost an oasis in the busy commercial city. The highlight was climbing to the top of the dome. It is a long way and not for the faint hearted. The view is stunning with very kind members of staff will to take family pictures. This really added the final touch to the visit and provide a memory that we can all treasure. Again, thank you for that.
