Bodnant Garden, Tal-y-Cafn

It was the first time I'd used a small mobility scooter the top area and roses where easy to navigate. I noticed larger scooters could get around quite well onto the lower terraces. You have to think of the drainage of the battery. So relaxing such lovely colours around you. It's so worth the visit. Our daughter and son in law visiting from Alberta Canada loved it all. We sat and relaxed on one of the benches after a nice picnic and waited for them to come back.

A lovely and well-tended garden of which the NT can be proud. The hard-working volunteers were busy tending to the Autumnal tidying of paths and lawns, keeping them in supreme order, the nuts and bolts of garden maintenance. We visited during mid-October and many of the trees were still in Summer green with a sprinkle of golden areas. Plenty of flowers were still in bloom, but the roses were past their best and being deadheaded as required. Wheelchair/disabled access was well marked on the free map, with longer walks laid out for the more fit and active visitor on a partly sloping site. Excellent afternoon visit on a sunny but chilly day.
